The New Rochelle JV Seniors kicked off their 2025 season in style with a home opener against Byram Hills on August 2nd at New Rochelle High School.
The match started off rocky, with New Rochelle falling behind 0–6. Slowly, the team found their rhythm, battling back to tie the first set at 23–23. With two clutch points in a row, New Rochelle closed out the comeback to take the opening set 25–23.
Riding that momentum, the Huguenots came out firing in the second set, storming to a commanding 9–0 lead. Their energy never let up, and the squad dominated the set from start to finish, sealing a convincing 25–6 win.
This strong opening performance marks a promising start to the season for the JV Seniors, showcasing both resilience under pressure and the ability to close out matches with confidence.
